Sunday XP & Midweek Small Group Leader
Youth Sunday XP is the main program of each week for Jr. and Sr. High students. XP uses worship, teaching, media, small groups and other elements in order to teach and discuss different series of relevant, biblical teaching. Each week, XP starts off with a time where the entire youth ministry can worship together. Then there is a short time of teaching which sets up a time of small group processing and discussion.
Youth Sunday XP takes place in the Youth Center from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Most volunteer opportunities during XP are as Small Group volunteers (either leaders or co-leaders). A key focus of our Youth Ministry is building community within small groups (which are separated by gender and grade). It’s in these groups that we see life change happen most often.
These leaders spend the worship and teaching time with their youth and then lead the last 20 minutes of small group discussions with their group. These small group times are another chance to build relationships within the group while equipping and challenging youth to grow in their discipleship.
There are also other opportunities in XP to help with student assimilation, worship and set up/clean up of our breakfast time together.
What a win looks like:
-Youth connect with peers and loving adults
-Youth are known and cared for by peers and adults
-Youth are equipped to grow in their discipleship
-Youth open up and have significant interactions with their group
-Youth understand and embrace biblical community
