#GoLoveYourCircle Sunday 2017

On Sunday, June 25, we will have the opportunity to reflect on the way God is at work at CATC as we launch into a new year. We will celebrate spiritual milestones and receive exciting updates about current ministries and projects.

Come. See. Pray.
Following the 11 a.m. service, all are invited out to the updated Youth Center to experience the potential of the space and imagine what new people, stories, and community might come from this new place.

In each service on that Sunday, we will have the opportunity to elect godly men and women to help guide the future of CATC on the Board of Elders, and to vote on the budget that will fuel the ministry of our church through the go. love. Fund.

THE GO.LOVE FUND – FUELING THE MISSION AND MINISTRY OF CHURCH AT THE CROSSING.

Our budget is about fueling the mission of being a go. love.church. Our operating expenses are not just dollars and cents, not just obligations to be met, but rather the very thing that gets us where we know God is calling us.

As we move into the future together, we invest of our time and talents in order to go into all the word, making disciples and to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Celebrate with us the ways God is working in and through Church at the Crossing to impact this community, nation, and world.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR YOU TO PRAYERFULLY PREPARE FOR JUNE 25, 2017:

2017-2018 Elder Nominees

The ministry of the Board of Elders is to envision the future God has for Church at the Crossing and work in advance to remove any obstacles of this preferred future. Elders serve in 3-year terms and can serve 2 terms before rotating off of the Elder Board. The 15 Elders are joined by 2 non-voting elders (our Treasurer and Senior Pastor).

GREG BROWN (new)

Many of you know me as the husband of my lovely and wonderful wife Kelly, who has been standing beside me for the last 35 years. Our son, Garrett, attended CATC for many of his formative years, and now attends another church with his fiancé Rebecca.

I grew up attending a Methodist church, but I did not become a born-again Christian until the ripe age of 42. Kelly and I began attending CATC in 1996 and I have been involved with teaching 4th grade Sunday School, worship leadership with Jr. High students, van driving for the Senior Daytime Club, and playing guitar on the worship team.
I worked as an IT Director for 26 years, and later held other positions including Director of Materials, International Sales, and Engineered Pump Operations. More recently I worked at Peerless Pump in Indianapolis for 21 years.

Kelly and I retired over 3 years ago and have enjoyed a number of national and international trips including pilgrimages to Israel, Turkey, and Greece; and a Spiritual Heritage tour of Washington D.C. and the American colonies.

PHIL BURRESS (new)

My wife, Norma, and I have been married for almost 41 years. We have a son and a daughter, as well as 1 grandson with a 2nd grandchild expected in August. I attended Purdue University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in Land Surveying Engineering in the School of Civil Engineering. I am presently employed by the Compass Commercial Construction Group. I have held a wide range of positions including safety manager, quality control manager, project manager, and project superintendent with the superintendent role being my primary position. When not working, I enjoy running and boating.

I was raised in the Baptist faith and Norma was raised in the Catholic church. We started attending Church at the Crossing in 1991 and have been members of the Genesis Class.

I previously was a member of the Board of Elders from 2005 to 2011. I have also been involved in several building committees at CATC since 1991 as well as being a greeter, usher, and involved with missions.

STEPHENIE KNOLL (new)

My husband, Jim, and I have been attending CATC for 20 years. We are both from Southern Indiana, where I attended Indiana University and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Criminal Justice. In 2007, I started a part-time photography business to engage with my community while I was a stay-at-home mother. Prior to staying home, I worked in sales for an Engineering and IT recruiting firm.

I have served in several leadership roles involving Women’s Ministry, Youth, Kids, MOPS, Camp Challenge, and Missions. I have a passion for outreach and building communities wherever I am. When I am not driving my children to their various activities, I enjoy dancing, reading and cooking.

Jim and I have three children that have been involved in various ministries. We volunteer as a family at Nora Elementary on Fun Saturdays and enjoy being together. It has been wonderful to be a part of a church that has invested so much in our family.

ANDY TROWBRIDGE (new)

My wife, Michelle, and I have been attending CATC for over 20 years. We have two sons, Jake and Zak. CATC has been instrumental in the maturing of my faith, including accepting Christ as my Savior in 2000 and being baptized.

Michelle and I have had the honor to work with Youth Ministry and I with Men’s Ministry for over 10 years. I have attended the Logos Sunday class for over 10 years. In 2012, I was blessed to go with the inaugural group of CATC people to the Holy Land to see first-hand where the stories of the Bible took place.

I obtained a BS in Geology from Indiana University. I am employed by a large environmental consulting firm, AECOM, as a Principal Geologist in downtown Indy. I have spent my professional career of over 30 years based in Indy, but I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects throughout the U.S.

I am passionate about Jesus, people, nature, boating/wakeboarding, photography, and being part of the body of Christ at CATC. These passions have given me purpose and great joy.

MILLI HATCH (2nd term)
