Thank You, Barb Thorp!
Over the past several years, my husband Jason and I have felt God leading us to downsize and simplify our lives. Our goal was and continues to be to minimize distractions and create margin so that we could better nurture relationships, build connection, and hear God’s voice and direction in our family. It has been a beautiful and messy experience, and we wouldn’t change a thing! Our love for God, each other, and our girls has grown and deepened.
Over the last 7 years, I have loved serving on staff at Church at the Crossing. God led me to this place, taught me, stretched me, changed me and sustained me. However, I find myself in a new season of life where I am no longer able to juggle my responsibilities to Church at the Crossing and my family life. Back in December, I shared with staff and the Board of Elders that I was stepping down from my staff position at CATC. It was an extremely difficult decision, but I have sensed God’s peace as He continues to work in my heart. It is once again time create margin in preparation for whatever God has in store for our family.
Church at the Crossing has been our family for over 20 years and it will continue to be our church home. We are full of anticipation for what God has in store for His church! The Thorps will continue to invest in and love the people of CATC well.
I will wrap up my time on staff on February 4, 2018.
It has truly been a joy to lead and serve my church family. You are dearly loved.
