Midweek (High School)
BECAUSE WE WANT EVERY HIGH SCHOOLER TO BE EMPOWERED TO SERVE FROM THEIR PASSIONS AND GIFTS ON A REGULAR BASIS, WE ARE NOW ENCOURAGING OUR HIGH SCHOOLERS TO JOIN A SERVE GROUP THROUGHOUT THE WEEK.
MINI-WORKCAMP SERVE GROUP
This group will meet at various times approximately 2-3 times per month to meet requests for physical work projects (yard work, housework, painting, small construction projects, etc.) submitted by congregation members.
CARE TO BAKE SERVE GROUP
Primarily, the Care to Bake Group will gather to cook meals and write notes of encouragement for people who have recently had surgery, a new baby, or experienced loss of a family member.
WHEN: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays each month beginning at 6 p.m. End time TBD. (note: eat dinner before you come)
Additionally, there are opportunities available for youth to go in groups of 2-3 to visit with a shut-in (someone who is unable to leave their house due to health issues or age).
MIDDLE SCHOOL SMALL GROUP LEADERS (11th & 12th Grade only)
Juniors and seniors have an awesome new opportunity to invest intentionally in a group of middle schoolers through their Wednesday night programming. This is a high-level investment, as youth will be required to apply for a spot, attend training, and commit weekly for the entire school year.
High School youth have the opportunity to serve in Kids! Ministry in various roles twice a month during the 9:30 service. Additionally, there are opportunities to serve on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 p.m.
Josh, our worship intern, is excited to form a team of youth to dive into the meaning of worship together and eventually help lead worship during Middle School & High School XP.
