Serving at Nora Elementary

Serving Opportunities at Nora Elementary

Indianapolis is home to more than 14,000 Burmese refugees, and a large community of these families live right down the street from Church at the Crossing, in the Nora community.

There are several opportunities for you to serve at Nora Elementary School and the Nora community in very significant ways:

This is an amazing project that Church at the Crossing has sponsored for the last 3 years. We provide coats to over 600 children at Nora Elementary so that they will not be without a winter coat. This is a HUGE project and we need volunteers to set-up the gym the day before, and also to help kids choose and try on their new coats at the event during the school day.

Every October, we provide a Trunk-n-Treat experience at Nora Elementary’s fall festival. This is a great all-ages event and a fun opportunity for families and small groups to serve together.
